Prof. Gireesh C. Tripathi has more 30 years of experience, ranging from industry to consultancy to academics. He started his career with SPIE-CAPAG/NKK/TOYO Consortium, from where he went on to work with Mumbai Port Trust, as an assistant executive engineer and manager. In the past, he has also trained IAS officers at Ministry of Rural Development and Engineers of NHAI. In the past, he has also held academic positions in institutions like IMT Ghaziabad, where he served as an associate professor. He obtained his B.tech degree as well as M.tech degree from IIT Delhi. Subsequently, he also did his PhD from IIT Delhi. He also has a master’s degree in finance management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of management studies. His current teaching and research interest areas are Project Financing, Financial Services, Financial and Energy Derivatives, Power Markets, Commercial Aspects of Energy Business, Quantitative Finance etc.
