Ashish Nandan is an energy sector expert specializing in Renewable Energy. Currently, he is working with Thermax Group company as Vice President and is contributing to the company’s growth strategy in renewable energy, regulatory & policy spheres and on behalf of the company, is leading from the front the latest challenges the sector is facing. He has been serving in Regulatory, Policy and Strategy for the last 17 years. Having served at premier institutions like the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission and world’s largest Renewable Energy company (Enel Green Power), he carries with himself vast experience of this ever growing field. He has served in several leading multiple national companies in leadership roles. While serving at Enel Green Power India he led multiple functions viz Regulatory Affairs, Communications, Institutional Affairs, Sustainability and Innovation. Similarly, at Hero Future Energy, he was heading three different departments viz Regulatory Affairs, Commercial and Power Sales. He is an energy enthusiast and has diversified experience in energy, environment, sustainability and climate change and has also got papers/articles published in national/international journals. He is a Physics graduate, studied Linguistics at masters level, and earned an MBA degree. He has also earned qualification in Port Management, Logistics Management, Transport Economics and Disaster Management.

He has been a mentor of numerous post graduate students and power sector professionals. He has been a speaker at various conferences, seminars and academic institutions. He is one of the pioneers of Renewable Energy Certificate Mechanism in India and continues to serve the nation through the Renewable Energy sector for a better tomorrow.
